The final competition of the World Cup in Lead will be held in Kranj for the 22nd time, again promising a truly spectacular sport climbing event. You are invited on 11 and 12 November to come and loudly support our heroines and heroes, and to meet the best climbers from all over the world. The tickets are already available at Eventim sales points, at the seat of Planinska zveza Slovenije in Ljubljana are going to be on purchase after 24 October.
IFSC Climbing World Cup Kranj 2017
It is a delightful tradition that the Slovenian sport
climbers are again among the best in the world. The main players in lead
climbing are still Janja Garnbret, this year and last year's
joint winner of the World Cup in lead and combination, who also won the
World Champion title last year, but has not yet won in front of the
domestic audience, Mina Markovič, who has won the Kranj
competitions several times, and who is the European vice-champion of
2017 in lead and three-times joint winner of the World Cup, as well as Domen Škofic,
last year's joint winner of the World Cup, who has already stood on the
winning podium this year. At the competition in Kranj we expect large
participation of the national sport climbing team, who will be happy if
you come to support them.
Qualifications for men will take place on Saturday, 11 November 2017, at 8:00, qualifications for women are scheduled at 13:00, and the semi-finals in the Kranj sports hall Zlato polje will be at 20:00.
There will be a free entertainment program for children during the
qualifications and a climbing film showing before the semi-finals.
The highlight of the Kranj competition will be on Sunday, 12 November 2017, with the finals beginning at 16:45,
accompanied by a short climbing films showing before introducing the finalists and route observation. The hall will be open one hour before the semi-finals and
the finals. A detailed schedule of events is published on the website www.worldcupkranj.com.
The tickets for the competition in Kranj are already available at Eventim sales points throughout Slovenia and on-line >>> ON-LINE TICKET PURCHASE. They are going to be on purchase at the seat of Planinska zveza Slovenije (PZS, Alpine Association of Slovenia) in Ljubljana after 24 October during office hours.
You can attend the Saturday's qualifications free of charge, entrance
to all events is also free for children up to 12 years. Admission to
Saturday's semi-finals is 8 €, or 6 € for the PZS members, and admission to Sunday's finals is 15 €, or 12 € for the PZS members. By pre-ordering the tickets until (and including on) 5 November, you can take the advantage of a special discount and get a two-day ticket (dvodnevna) for a special price of 15 €, or 12 € for
the members of Planinska zveza Slovenije. Buying the
tickets (if not sold-out before) will be available also at Zlato polje hall, on 11 November from
18.30 on and on 12 November from 15.30 on.
When purchasing the tickets, the members of Planinska zveza Slovenije
prove their membership by providing current PZS membership card and a
personal document; discount via Eventim applies when entering the membership card
number (promotion code > člani PZS).

teams, trainers and climbers, and of their passionate dedication and
