Domžale, where the first artificial dry-tooling wall in Slovenia will be built, will host the first competition of the new European Ice Climbing Cup in lead on Saturday, 2 December 2017. At the same time, this competition will also count as the final event of the 5^th Slovenian-Croatian-Serbian Open Cup in Ice Climbing. The best athletes of the Old Continent will compete in Domžale, including the Slovenian Janez Svošljak at the helm, while Klemen Premrl's lecture will open the event.

The UIAA Ice Climbing Commission reminds athletes about a new rule change ahead of the 2018 UIAA Ice Climbing season.
